The Cure: addio a Andy Anderson, uno dei primi batteristi della band

Si è spento all'età di 68 anni Andy Anderson, grande batterista famoso per aver collaborato assieme ai Cure, Iggy Pop, Glen Matlock e Peter Gabriel.

A darne la triste notizia il compagno di band Lol Tolhurst, fondatore assieme a Robert Smith dei The Cure, con un post sui suoi canali social ufficiali:

It's with a heavy heart, I have to report the passing of a Cure brother.
Andy Anderson was A true gentleman and a great musician with a wicked sense of humor which he kept until the end, a testament to his beautiful spirit on the last journey. We are blessed to have known him.

Lo scorso 17 febbraio Andy Anderson aveva comunicato al mondo di essere malato terminale, colpito da un male incurabile.
