Lo scorso 2 marzo Keith Richards ha pubblicato una cover di "I'm Waiting for the Man" dii Velvet Underground, in onore del leggendario Lou Reed in quello che sarebbe stato il giorno del suo 82esimo compleanno.

La traccia farà parte dell'album di prossima pubblicazione The Power of the Heart: A Tribute to Lou Reed, in uscita il prossimo 20 aprile in occasione del Record Store Day.

All'interno del progetto hanno contribuito anche Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Lucinda Williams, Rosanne Cash e tanti altri.

"Per me Lou si è distinto", ha dichiarato il leggendario chitarrista dei Rolling Stones, "Un vero gigante! È stato qualcosa di importante per la musica americana e per TUTTA LA MUSICA! Mi mancano lui e il suo cane".
