Ozzy Osbourne commenta la vittoria ai Grammy: "Sono un fortunatissimo figlio di pu***!"

Dopo aver ha trionfato alla 65esima cerimonia dei Grammy Awards 2023 con la conquista di due statuette nelle categorie "Best Rock Album" per il disco Patient Number 9 e "Best Metal Performance" per il brano "Degradation Rules" realizzato assieme a Tony Iommi, leggendario chitarrista dei Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne ha commentato così la vittoria:

"Sono un fortunatissimo figlio di put*** ad aver vinto il Grammy per il miglior album rock", ha affermato Ozzy in una dichiarazione pubblicata sul suo sito internet ufficiale, “Ho avuto la fortuna di lavorare con alcuni dei più grandi musicisti del mondo e Andrew Watt come mio produttore in questo album. Vincere la "Best Metal Performance" è stato altrettanto gratificante visto che la canzone includeva il mio amico di lunga data e compagno di band dei Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi"

Ozzy non è riuscito a presenziare alla cerimonia e le due statuette sono state ritirate dal produttore dell'album e chitarrista Andrew Watt e dal leggendario bassista dei Metallica (e autore di tante canzoni presenti in Patient Number 9) Robert Trujillo.

Poco prima della cerimonia di premiazione dei Grammy Awards 2023 sono stati consegnati i Grammy lifetime achievement awards in cui sono stati premiati anche i Nirvana. a ritirare il premio alla carriera si sono presentati sul palco Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic e Pat Smear. A parlare a nome della band è stato il bassista che ha ricordato, ricordando il testo di "Serve the Servants" e meravigliandosi dell'impatto che la band ha avuto nella storia della musica: "Hanno detto che Kurt era spiritoso o forse era un furbo. E disse: 'L'angoscia adolescenziale ha dato i suoi frutti.' Scrivo e ricevo lettere alla vecchia maniera dai fan dei Nirvana da tutto il mondo. Molti sono giovani. C'è una nuova generazione di fan dei Nirvana e ne sono molto grato".
